A Whimsical Columbus Wedding | 100 Layer Cake
Speaking of fun and colour, this Columbus wedding is simple but sweet - carrying through the yellow theme from start to finish. I love the sweets table. Guests were welcome to take a stamped paper bag and fill it with lollies (and a toothbrush! haha!) And the flower balls are not only pretty, but pretty easy to do yourself!

DIY Yipee! Ring Bearer Pillow | Ruffled
Though weddings can sometimes be very serious events, I want my day to have a sense of fun and whimsy to it. And this is a cute way to start it off! The best part is that you can keep this afterward to remind you of the ceremony, maybe on the bed?!

Houston Wedding | Style Me Pretty
Now this is what I call a stylish wedding! The bride is so gorgeous - and oh my gosh that necklace! The beautiful colour scheme of bronze & white is lush and rich, and the reception venue is stunning - I love the booths! And even more amazing, the husband created the wedding invitations, programs, menu cards & signage using images from their home town. I’m adding this to my inspiration folder!

DIY Modern Faux Table Lamp | Hostess With The Mostess
Centrepieces. There is so much to hate about them! Too low - people can talk easily, but it looses the impact. Too high - it looks great but people can’t talk around it and may get knocked over during the frivolities (this has happened! Beware!) None at all - boring! What I like about this lamp is that you can have the best of everything - it has a wide, sturdy base that you can decorate with candles, it’s high enough that it will look great en masse, but the middle is so thin you guests can talk across to each other without feeling like they’re on Perfect Match. And if you’re worried about candles - go for the electric type - you can always use them afterwards for a romantic mood or a blackout!

DIY Birdcage Veil | Project Wedding
When I went with my sister to look at dresses, I busied myself by looking at veils. Clearly I’m in the wrong business because these things were going for $100 upwards! Now I can understand spending a bit of dough on the dress - that’s the part that you’re going to be photographed in all day, the one thing people will remember. But that much money on a piece of lace?! Crazy! My suggestion is make your own if you choose to wear one - this pretty birdcage veil is perfect for those who are wearing something a little more modern.

Now that rice is no longer de rigueur at weddings, confetti is frowned upon and bubbles are so 2000, what does a modern bride hand her guests to celebrate with when she leaves the church? How about these adorable wands?! So easy to make, so pretty and so fun to swoosh! Imagine a photo of the bride and groom surrounded with their friends and family, wands flying through the air? Magic!
